Cottage Life

Well what a great weekend! Action packed and hot as hell!!! Headed up to Stoney Lake where Mikes family has the cottage and did an array of recreational activities. the fun never stopped. We went and played golf the first day then made our way out to elephant rock which is a seperate island with no cottages....quite small and pretty much set the whole island(or a quarter at least) on fire. It is where all the local dump there junk like lots of wood and stuff so we burnt it all up! Loads of fun....got pretty big and hot there for a while. So its been around the 30 degress mark here, today is a scorching 40 and working was not so crash hot. Wish I was back at the lake, playing bball, swimming and doing all that jazz! But I've survived(my co-worker is a dude who makes it fun). Had to go buy some approprate clothes for work tho as standing in flats for 9 hours is not cool. So I start at either 6 and finish at lunch or 7 and finish at 4. Me and the other girl alternate days and no nights or weekends which is sweet. Starting to make some more friends which is great cos I get a bit homesick. Don't find the people as friendly as I thought I would. Apparenty I chose the like most unfriendliest place in Canada and everywhere else espcially the East coast is super nice....so I keep being told. But the few friends I have made a darlings. My apartment is great...its so cute. And right in the 'place to be' area....just need someone to be there with haha. My housemate is pretty cool so I might have to drag him downstairs on the weekend for a few beers. I'll post some photos of my apartment and work soon but only if people write to me cos I love reading them!!! Well I'm off for another day and hope hope everything is going swell down there. Peace Out xoxoxo

Toronto

Well on the weekend I embraced Canada's biggest city! It was fabulous! Loved roaming the streets and constantly having to have little breaks in coffee shop to rest and for loo breaks. On the firday night I stayed all by myself in a lovely hotel with 2 double bedswhilst Sabrina and Mike were forced to stay in dorms at a uni for the Buddhist festival on the saturday! Seems I'm not nor planning on becoming a Budhist I was not allowed so enjoyed the luxury of a hotel!
On the saturday I went and watched them dance and bogo there little hearts out. The performance/festival was actually really good and I enjoyed it and had a very inspirational feel to it! That night I stayed with Mikes aunt in the suburbs in there lovely Canadian home. Everyone has been very generous with letting me crash at there pads....seems I'm a bit of a tag along.
Finally on sunday we went up the CN Tower!! As I'm not a fan of heights I didn't enjoy it at all at first....I knew I was safe but still just wanted to be on the ground. Sabrina and Mike found my distress rather amusing! Its 535 metres in total and 147 (I think) stories high. Was the largest free stabding structure in the world until Dubai built one last year that outshines it! Still scary enough for me tho, especially with the glass floor at the top to stand over and have a mild panic attack!! Anyway hope you enjoy the shots x x
