Day 10

So things are going well....starting to get to know my way round downtown, which is always a good start. Still waiting to hear back from the apartment, cos I don't have any previous rental history in Canada Sabrina needeed to co-sign with me. She is a darling...she is like my mummy over here!! Had a good weekend, went to a party on friday night and met some of Mikes friends the had a couple of people over sat night, who were also lovely:-) Played Rockband on the Wii and I really suck at all of it - singing, drums and guitar but good fun anyway. Everyone like to hear me talk and my 'Aussie slang". Its been quite funny. So many words and expressions I don't even realise are typically Australian e.g. sunnies, uni, undies (we seem to shorten and put ie on lts of things, which the don't! Also thongs, ta, mobile, tea (as in dinner) utes (I really had trouble explaining this haha, I was like its a ute...der!!) whoop whoop is now been thrown around a lot in this apartment. The list goes on and on and on and on! We have had a few lanuage barriers but its all good fun:-) The weather was not so kind on the weekend, was 1-3 on sat and sun and I was not loving it at all!!! But apparently it wasn't that cold...yeah right! So Ive needed to rug up (Aussie slang) and my raincoat has never been used so much as we walk most places rain, flurries (Canadian terminolgy) or shine:-) I have a new phone number to my old one is not being used at the present time but my new one is 1 613-797-2373. So send me a texty...cos Im not getting much love nowadays! Chow x
